Thylacine completed a strategic plan for a proposed new development the Snowy Alpine Heritage Centre in Jindabyne NSW. Thylacine worked with TRC to envision the new centre which will be a major tourist destination for the region and offer an experience of the past, present and future imaginations which all underline the significance of the cultural heritage of the people and place of the Snowy Mountains. After a series of workshops with key stakeholders and potential site visits; Thylacine provided a strategic direction for story and interpretation, an analysis of the site and building requirements, thematic framework and story groupings, review of collection assets, visualisations and precedents for key visitor experiences, interpretive costings and a project methodology and program. The strategic plan is currently being utilised to attract government funding to the project.
