Isa has spent over fifteen years working with cultural heritage, both in Australia and internationally. She has worked across a number of areas, including collection management, exhibition development and public programs, and has lectured in museology at the ANU, where she was awarded her Doctorate in 2020.

Isa has worked with Thylacine Design in a curatorial capacity since 2015, contributing to a range of projects, including Master Plans (Sovereign Hill); Concept Designs (Waltzing Matilda Centre; White Bay Power Station); Interpretive Plans (Wellington Caves); exhibition research and content development (Wellington Caves; Noosa National Park; Glasshouse Mountains National Park); and text editing (Bilya Koort Boodja Centre For Nyoongar Culture and Environmental Knowledge, Jervis Bay Maritime Museum).
