A permanent public artwork, Taylor Square, Sydney
Cases is a flexible, permanent public venue conceived as an innovative response to a conventional ‘time line’ project brief provided by Sydney City Council. A series of custom-designed cast concrete display cases contain themed environments. The cases initially depicted an alternative history of Taylor Square through an exploration of the lives of colourful and little known local figures. After a time, this content was removed and the cases became a permanent on-going public access gallery or venue.
